Ammonites are fossilized shells of a group of marine creatures called ammonoids. Though ammonoids went extinct millions of years ago (around the same time as dinosaurs), their shells remained, fossilizing with various minerals over time.

Ammonite shells are said to help with fertility, pregnancy, and easing pains during labor and delivery. They are known to help mothers form a strong spiritual bond with their babies, as well as help fight postpartum depression.
